The first gain shows up in daily life
People often tell us the same thing: the first gain is not a spectacular posture, but everyday life. Climbing stairs without thinking, sitting through a workday without that nagging lower back, or finally sleeping through the night.
Pilates for lower back pain
One participant who came with chronic lower back pain worked on core stability in pilates for six weeks. Her conclusion: “No miracle happened, but for the first time in years I feel I can do something about my back myself.”
Yin yoga after a stressful period
Another started with yin yoga after a stressful period. The long holds felt uncomfortable at first, but after a month it became the calmest half hour of her week - and the effect stayed noticeable outside the studio too.
